LynPon Chandelier Dimensions & Installation Guide
We want you to enjoy your beautiful new chandelier safely and with confidence. Please refer to the guidelines below to help prevent accidents and ensure a smooth installation. For more detailed instructions, always consult your owner's manual or contact a licensed electrician. Remember to turn off the power at the circuit breaker before beginning any installation.
General Height Calculation
A well-placed chandelier should feel balanced within the space. As a general rule, we recommend allowing approximately 3 inches of chandelier height for every foot of ceiling height.
To calculate: simply multiply your ceiling height (in feet) by 3.
Example: For an 8-foot ceiling, your chandelier should be about 24 inches tall (8 × 3 = 24).
Room-Specific Height Guidelines
Dining Room
Hanging Height: The bottom of the chandelier should hang 30 to 36 inches above the dining table.
Placement: Center the fixture directly above the middle of the table—not the center of the room. This creates a cohesive look and ensures the light is focused where it's needed most.
Kitchen Island
Hanging Height: The bottom of the chandelier should hang 30 to 36 inches above the countertop.
Placement: Center the chandelier over the middle of the island for balanced illumination.
Entryway / Foyer
Hanging Height: Always maintain at least 7 feet of clearance between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor. For ceilings taller than 8 feet, mount the chandelier an additional 3 inches higher for every extra foot above 8 feet.
Placement: Center the chandelier in the middle of the space. For a large foyer, consider placing it over a round table for a dramatic and welcoming statement.
Bedroom / Living Room
Hanging Height: Follow the general 7-foot clearance rule above.
Placement: Position the chandelier in the center of the room, or above a bedside table or coffee table to create a cozy, intimate focal point.
Bathroom
Hanging Height: Mount the chandelier at least 8 feet above the highest point of the bathtub's edge.
Placement: Due to building codes for wet environments, the chandelier must be positioned at least 3 feet to the side of the tub or shower.
Caution: Ensure the chandelier is rated for damp or moisture-rich environments. Always prioritize safety in bathrooms.
How to Install Your LynPon Chandelier
Turn off the power. Safety is always the first step. Switch off the power at the circuit breaker.
Secure the electric box. Ensure the mounting box is firmly attached and free of frayed or damaged wires.
Assemble your chandelier. Follow the step-by-step instructions in your user manual before hanging.
Measure and adjust the chain. Use the height guidelines above to determine the perfect hanging length for your space.
Attach the chandelier to the electric box. Refer to your manual for specific mounting instructions.
Connect the wires. Most chandeliers have a black (hot) wire and a white (neutral) wire. Twist the stripped end of the black ceiling wire to the black fixture wire, and repeat with the white wires. Carefully tuck the connections back into the electric box and secure the cover.
Screw in your lightbulbs. Once everything is connected and secure, install your chosen bulbs.
Restore power and enjoy. Turn the power back on and admire your beautifully lit space!
